MATERIAL SELECTION AND FRAME DESIGN OF E-BICYCLES
The project aims to come up with an iterative design for the frame and the selection of suitable material for the same. E-bicycles have several advantages. They are eco-friendly and emit lower pollution per Km than cars/motorcycles. Design thinking methodology was followed to deduce pain points from target groups and prospective frame designs were modelled and analysed using CAE tools. They use energy at an average rate of 100-150 W compared to 15,000 or so for cars.
